REFUND POLICY

(a) If a student (or parent/guardian, if student is under legal age) cancels his/her enrollment in writing or in person within (3) business days after midnight on the day the agreement was signed, all monies collected shall be refunded.  Cancellation date will be determined by postmark or date information is delivered to school in person. Applicants who have not visited the school prior to enrollment will have the opportunity to withdraw without penalty within (3) business days following either the regularly scheduled orientation procedures or following a tour of the school facilities and inspection of the equipment where training/services are provided.
(b) The enrollment agreement and correspondence regarding cancellation and settlement clearly acknowledge the existence of the cancellation and settlement policy of the school.
(c) If promissory notes or contracts for tuition are sold to third parties, the school complies with the cancellation and settlement guidelines.
(d) Any person failing to complete the program within the stated max time frame will be charged a $10 (per scheduled class day) over-contract fee.  Over-contract fees will be assed until date of official cancellation /termination or until student completes the program.
(e) Complete records of all payments by students are maintained by the school and student.
(f)  An applicant rejected by the school shall be entitled to a refund of all monies prior to physical attendance.
(g)  Determination of withdrawal or termination shall be made thirty (30) days from the student’s last day of attendance.  Refunds will be made within sixty (60) days from the last day of attendance.
(h)  If the school is permanently closed and no longer offering instruction, after a student has enrolled, the student shall be entitled to a refund of tuition, according to the school’s refund policy.
(i)  If a course is canceled subsequent to a student’s enrollment, the school shall provide a full refund of all monies paid.
(j)  The student understands that he/she is responsible for the payment of all tuition, fees, and other costs associated with attending the school.  Part or all of these costs may be paid by scholarship, financial aid or special incentive award.  A failure to obtain anticipated scholarship, financial aid or special incentive award does not excuse the student from his/her obligation to pay all costs associated with attending the school.  The student further understands that if the collected financial aid award is in excess of tuition and fees due, the institution will first refund to the Federal accounts the appropriate amounts (See RETURN OF TITLE IV FUNDS POLICY) and then apply the pro-rata based institutional refund policy noted in item l.
(k) A pro-rata schedule is used to determine how much SFA program funds the student has earned at the time of withdrawal.  After the 60% point in the payment period of enrollment, a student has earned 100% of the SFA program funds.
(l) Institutional tuition refunds are based on total institutional charges. If the student is terminated or withdraws before completing their program institutional charges include, but are not limited to, tuition and other fees. The student kit fee, enrollment fees and over-contact Fees are non-refundable. Students that withdraw or are terminated from their program, for any reason, will be entitled to a refund of any prepaid refundable monies or may have a balance due according to the following schedule table:

.01% – 4.9%

5.0% – 9.9%

The college shall only refund the remaining balance after all institutional charges are paid.
(m) The number of clock hours for which the student was charged will be divided into the number of clock hours scheduled to be completed at the time of withdrawal or termination to get the percentage of SFA funds to be refunded.  Additionally, this same calculation will be utilized for funds, if any, required to be refunded to the student. (See RETURN OF TITLE IV FUNDS POLICY)
